Cenovia "Cindy" DeLeon, 76, was called home May 12, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00a.m., Wednesday, May 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Waxahachie City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00p.m., Tuesday, May 16, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.
Cindy was born August 16, 1940 Rio Hondo, Texas to Donato and Delfina (Ramirez) Gonzales. She loved the Lord and had a very strong faith. She also was an avid Texas Ranger...

Cindy was born August 16, 1940 Rio Hondo, Texas to Donato and Delfina (Ramirez) Gonzales. She loved the Lord and had a very strong faith. She also was an avid Texas Ranger fan. Cindy had a loving and caring heart with an infectious sense of humor who was well known for her tortillas and tea. Many considered her as a second mom who was known as "Mama Cindy".
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elido "Joe" DeLeon, parents, and siblings, Sophia Ramos and Rodrigo Gonzales.
Survivors include her children, Anita Ramirez and husband Joey, Mary Lou DeLeon, Melinda DeLeon and fiancé Luckus Moore, and José Angel "Joe" DeLeon; and siblings, Aurora, Adelina, Clara, Bea, Susan, Juanita, Lionel and Vera. She is also survived by grandchildren, Ruben, Adam, Kassie, Morgan, Aaron, Monica, Michael and Donavon and great-grandchildren, Hayden, Carissa, Landon, Dillon, A.J., and Anaeli.
